Nice place to camp some sites are a little tight
Stopped here at the invitation of a camper at Blue Jay (my aunt). Upon arrival, owner approached us from what mudt have been his private residence adhacent to the campgrpund without welcoming us or identifying himself and asked if he could help us. I explained that we were there visiting someone at the campground. He asked how long we planned on staying. When i responded "maybe three hours" He said that if we wanted to stay we would have to pay. I asked how much and his response was "a campsite is $35" we packed up our kids and drove 45 minutes back to our campsite at Cranberry Lake State Park, which was bigger better, and cheaper than his sardine can campsite...will never be back as guest or patron.
Blue Jay is that slice of heaven we need to escape to as often as possible!!! What a great weekend we had!
The owner was very friendly and helpful. The site is spacious and located on magnificent grounds. We rented a boat there and just wanted to stay.
Never stayed the night here, but I've visited family that was camping here, and I used to do DirecTV Installs and service calls to this campground. So first thing is it is a great camping area right on the lake with rentals and playground. Second thing, if you bring a camper with satellite TV they do have dishes set up for DirecTV.
